A wonderful blend of smooth jazz, funk, dance and world music centralized through the piano, acoustic guitar and the occasional synth lead..
ALL of the compositions you hear here start with one simple truth - without God, I could do nothing but because of HIM, all this is possible! Each and every effort is a serenade to Him, as I owe Him every song. Over the years, I've learned new things about song composition and have always been willing to push the boundaries of sound. I was trained as a musician and recording engineer as a child, learning to put together melodies when I was only 7 years old. This was at the height of jazz fusion where lead instrumental improvisation was king. Although I was trained early on to read and write sheet music, this improvisation has shaped my writing. Now, I write from my heart. The songs represented here are the culmination of my ventures. Each new song is a lesson in itself as I am a never ending student of music, sound and the new and emerging recording processes. As you listen, keep in mind these are my intimate conversations with God. My conversations are sometimes upbeat, sometimes somber, but never boring. In all, I share these songs so that you may enjoy the music.

Story behind the song
Wanted to write a new song in a style I don't often write (house). The rhythm and basic part of the song came along and the guitar part (melody) came. it started as something I hummed along to the music, but later became something I practiced with the guitar/keys. I got to the point where I wanted to make a song of it and here it is!

Love the Spanish guitar and latin vibe, this one cooks with the soft vox swells and tasty rythmic counterpoints.

Wonderful groovy theme that automaticaly trigger my urge to play along. ( All your stuff do that Arlen!) Very good melodic theme in the lead-play. Somehowe I got George Benson feel. And the slightly disapointment is there when the song disapair in the cool and short outro.

Smooth Rhodes intro along with the chilled vibe work provides a magnificent lead into the acoustic guitar solo/lead. Great mid tempo groove is certainly in the pocket and supports excellent musical elements throughout. Love the wah wah guitar underneath around 2:15…so delicate, yet it adds awesome depth. Quality writing as always Arlen.

Love this one, unique drum pattern, cool, flowing mix, and the voices brought a smile to my face when they were first introduced. Lots of elements here that I enjoyed from the lead acoustic guitar, to the wahwah that answers back to its harmonies. Astonishing work my friend... I expected nothing less.
