This is my own interpretation/cover of a great song by Swedish 'Prog Master', Roine Stolt. I've had to slightly change the middle (instrumental) section due to the original's amazing complexity. Afterall, I'm not Roine Stolt!...

Major Snagg is the invented name of the 'band' that perform all my own musical creations. (songs and instrumentals). I play guitars, bass, rudimentary keyboards, harmonica, and sing. Melody has always been important to me... lyrics and guitar solos have to say or communicate something. I create musical worlds that I hope that you dear listener, will also want to explore and live in for a few moments...or longer if you feel that way inclined.

Story behind the song
The middle section is all my own invention...hopefully an interesting alternative direction from Roine's original. I used...an Eastwood Astro-Cadet (Bill Nelson signature model), a Rickenbacker 4003 bass, a Yamaha PSR-275 keyboard and a Zoom RT-123 drum machine. Recorded as usual onto Adobe Audition (1.5)...still my DAW of choice. Hope you enjoy the tune.

Listening to this almost 5 years later, I'm quite amazed at how I managed to cover such a complicated song. The mix is a touch muddy but hey, this is only a hobby

I'm not familiar with the original either David but I like what I hear here. Nice guitar tone/sounds and the overall mix is excellent. Nicely done!

I'm not familiar with the original, but I really enjoyed this!! Very pro-sounding recording, love the arrangement and the performance is top notch. I imagine a lot of work went into this, very impressive track!
